Cultural tourism takes the spotlight
Sharjah continues to prioritise cultural tourism with eco-friendly resorts and historic preservation projects. Shurooq’s Khawla Al Hashimi stressed the goal of offering “genuine experiences” through initiatives like the Moon Retreat camp and nature reserves.
Unique alternative to Dubai
Unlike Dubai’s luxury-driven approach, Sharjah focuses on cultural and eco-tourism, restoring traditional souks and preserving its heritage. With these strategic efforts, Sharjah is positioning itself as a distinctive and growing destination for travelers seeking authentic experiences.
